Cookie policy

Summary

Aquaindy sets as few cookies as possible. Two are essential: one keeps you signed in and one protects Google sign-in for ten minutes. A third remembers light or dark mode, only if you choose one with the switch in the header. Google Analytics cookies are optional, used on the public pages only, and set only after you accept them. There are no advertising, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies, and the signed-in workspace and client portal never load analytics.

What cookies and browser storage are

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Browser storage (local storage) is similar but is never sent to a server automatically. “First-party” means set by this site; “third-party” means set on behalf of another company.

Cookies we use

Every cookie and stored value this site uses is listed below, with who sets it, why, and for how long. If this list changes, this page and its date change first.

NameTypeSet byPurposeLasts
__Host-aquaindy_sessionEssentialAquaindy (first-party)Keeps you signed in. It holds a random token, is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax, and is useless without our server.14 days with “Remember me”; otherwise until you close the browser (the server ends it after 12 hours). Removed when you sign out.
aquaindy_google_stateEssentialAquaindy (first-party)Set only when you choose “Continue with Google” or connect Google Calendar. It ties Google’s reply to your browser so nobody can forge a sign-in.10 minutes, deleted as soon as Google sends you back.
aquaindy_themePreferenceAquaindy (first-party)Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode with the switch in the header. Set only when you use the switch; without it the site follows your device setting. Holds only "light" or "dark".1 year, or until you delete it
_gaAnalytics (optional)Google Analytics, Google LLC (third-party service, first-party cookie)Tells visits apart so we can count visitors to the public pages.Up to 2 years. Only after you accept.
_ga_<id>Analytics (optional)Google Analytics, Google LLCKeeps the state of a visit (for example, which page started it).Up to 2 years. Only after you accept.
aquaindy-analytics-consent (local storage)EssentialAquaindy (first-party)Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not ask on every page. Stays on your device.Until you change your choice or clear site data.

Essential cookies

Essential cookies are strictly necessary for a service you asked for (signing in, or signing in with Google), so they are set without asking for consent. Blocking them in your browser stops sign-in from working; the public pages still work. The light or dark mode cookie is set only when you click the switch, to remember a choice you made; it is not used for anything else.

Analytics cookies

If you accept, the public pages load Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), which sets the _ga cookies and sends Google the page address and title, the referring page, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser details. We use the reports only to see which public pages help visitors. Google advertising features, Google signals and user-ID tracking are not used. If you decline, or have not chosen yet, the Google script is not loaded at all and no request goes to Google.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as declining analytics: no banner appears and Google Analytics does not load. You can still accept analytics on this page if you want to.

Third-party sites

When you choose “Continue with Google” or connect Google Calendar, you leave this site for Google’s own pages, where Google’s cookie and privacy policies apply. Aquaindy does not embed social-media buttons, videos, maps or advertising.

Changing your choice

Use the controls below or “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any public page. Declining or withdrawing consent deletes the _ga cookies from this site straight away. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; deleting the session cookie signs you out.

Changes and contact

We update this policy, and the date at the top, whenever the cookies we use change. Questions about cookies or your data can be sent to support@aquaindy.com.
